Unboxing Stretch Goals & Sculpt Sneak Peeks
almost 3 years ago – Fri, May 14, 2021 at 01:35:15 AM

Hey there, Bat-fans!

The votes are in. For today’s video update, we’ll be unboxing Gotham’s greatest stretch goals!  By community request, we’ve also included a few high-rez images of some of the more Ghul-ish figures you’ll be facing off against.

Which stretch goal character are you most excited to take down?

(Or take on, for the more VUP-minded among us!)

Have a great week, Gothamites!

Shadow of the Bat Unboxing
almost 3 years ago – Fri, Apr 30, 2021 at 12:19:22 AM

Hey there, caped crusaders!

We won’t take up too much of your time in text today as we’ve got quite the fifteen-minute flick queued up and ready to stream. Who’s ready to dig into Shadow of the Bat? 🦇

So many Gotham goodies! Which box should we have Pete unpack next?

And finally, to answer the question on everyone’s minds, yes, we have approved these final samples and will update you all on production as it begins!

So long for now, Bat-fans.

Gone, gone the form of man...😈
about 3 years ago – Fri, Apr 16, 2021 at 12:55:43 AM

Greetings, Gothamites.

As you likely guessed from today’s headline, Etrigan was the crowd-favorite choice for our next character spotlight! Before we dive into the demonic, we’re happy to share that our final production samples have arrived. The team is currently working on a few video edits, and we’ll have an unboxing ready to share for our next update.

Now then, let’s get down to it. Etrigan is a super tough character -- both as a villain and as a hero. His character dice are some of the toughest you’ll find on the streets of Gotham City.

Long-time Etrigan fans will note a fun fact about his art direction. When played as a villain, all of his cards feature the controlling brand. When he joins the party as a hero, the mark is removed.

So, which version are you most excited to try out?

A Super-Powered Spotlight
about 3 years ago – Thu, Apr 01, 2021 at 10:28:51 PM

Before we get things started in today’s bi-weekly update, we’re happy to share that TMNT bundles were delivered to our Australian hub yesterday, so our Aussie backers will be having a totally tubular time over the next couple of weeks. For EU backers, the current estimate is an arrival in Germany at the end of May with bundles arriving to you in early June. If you have any questions, concerns, or address changes to share, please email us at [email protected]

Today’s character spotlight falls on Supergirl. If you’ve already been dealt these cards by your Facebook feed, skip to the bottom for this week’s feedback request. Still here? Great. Let’s take to the skies! 🦸

This character provided a particularly interesting design challenge due to Kara’s inherent power level. After a few rounds of community feedback and dedicated playtesting, the final version was well worth the wait!

Which power cards are you most likely to take when Supergirl hits the streets of Gotham? For the more villainous among us, which character do you think will be her Kryptonite?

Since we’ll be spending a bit of extra time together, which stretch goal characters would you most like to learn about in our future updates? As soon as our new sample arrives, we’ll be able to augment these mechanic spotlights with plenty of mini pics too!

In case you need a refresher, here’s a look at the full cast of Kickstarter exclusive characters.

Phew, what a scroll. That’s all for today. See you down in the comments!

Production Update & New Timelines
about 3 years ago – Mon, Mar 15, 2021 at 12:04:46 AM

Greetings, Gothamites.

In case you missed the debut of our new core box art, you might want to head over to this link before reading on.

Now, how about a status update? Since the art replacements took a little longer than expected, the team had plenty of time to revisit every element of the game for one final quality control pass. We’re confident that you will be receiving the best possible BTAS experience!

Next, it’s time for the fun part -- the final physical sample! That arrival will open up a whole host of possibilities for future update content.

We estimate that BTAS will hit the tabletop in the late summer of this year. We appreciate everyone’s patience as we move past this roadblock and begin the next phase of the campaign.

As we’ve received a few emails and messages about address changes, we wanted to wrap things up with a quick note on the topic. Addresses have not been locked, so you should be able to update any relevant shipping information right from your Backerkit account. If you have any issues with the system, just send the updated information to [email protected] (along with a note that it’s for BTAS) and our team can make the changes manually.

Thank you for your continued support, caped crusaders! As a bit of parting art, here’s some “Feed Me, Seymour” fun for your weekend viewing.
